Yayasan Air Bersih Nusantara
Faith-based foundation building piped water systems in 280 villages across the Indonesian archipelago, with a particular focus on schools and primary health clinics.
Reducing maternal mortality through last-mile referral systems and emergency obstetric training.
Founded in 2010, Yayasan Air Bersih Nusantara brings together a federated network of community-rooted partners into a single coalition focused on the slow, structural work of reducing preventable maternal deaths.
Our theory of change rests on three pillars: (i) emergency obstetric capacity at the facility level, (ii) reliable referral logistics that move women from village to facility within the obstetric “golden hour,” and (iii) community-level recognition of danger signs that prompts action before complications turn fatal.
Across 22prior grants from bilateral, multilateral, and philanthropic donors, we've supported nearly 320,000 deliveries and reduced maternal mortality in our partner districts by approximately 31% against pre-programme baselines.
